Now Museum, Now You Don't is the 9th episode in Season 1 and the ninth episode overall of the series, I Didn't Do It
Overview
Logan and Lindy's sibling rivalry gets heated when they both land jobs at the Chicago Museum of Art. Meanwhile, Delia is convinced she is a decedent of Nefertiti and recruits Jasmine and Garrett to help her collect a DNA sample from the mummy exhibit.
Story
In the opening scene, the Jasmine, Lindy, Delia, and Garrett are at what appears to be a museum and are standing on a mummy exhibit, the three girls trying to put a mummy into the standing coffin. Garrett is wearing a knight helmet standing watch and thinks they’re going to get caught. Right after the three finally get the mummy in and close the coffin, the coffin accidentally opens again and the mummy begins falling out. It falls onto Garrett after he tries to catch it and then when Garrett throws it off of him it begins rolling down the stairs. Delia, Lindy, and Jasmine go running after it. Then the scene cuts to the opening theme.
A caption on the screen says “a few days earlier” and shows the DITKA High building. Logan and Garrett are walking to their normal lunch table, arguing about what you call white mac and cheese. Lindy then comes in very excited and tells her friends that she got an internship at the Chicago Museum of Art. Logan thinks it’s very boring but Lindy thinks it’s a great honor. Jasmine congratulates her and Lindy tells the group they should visit sometime. The scene fades to Jasmine and Garrett walking to Jasmine’s locker. Jasmine asks Garrett if he has a problem because he is always biting his nails. Garrett doesn’t think he does but then Jasmine shows him a collection of pictures she took of him biting his nails. Garrett still doesn’t think he has a problem but then Jasmine shows him a picture she just took of him biting his nails while looking through pictures of him biting his nails. Garrett thinks he can stop anytime he wants so Jasmine makes him do it at that very moment and offers to help him stop, taking his hands away from his face. Garrett doesn’t know what to do with his hands when he’s not biting his nails so she tells him to applaud himself for breaking his bad habit. When Garrett walks away, Delia runs to Jasmine and tells her, her new discovery: she is the reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian queen, Nefertiti. Jasmine thinks she’s crazy so Delia shows her a picture of Nefertiti that looks a lot like herself. She adds glasses to the picture and asks Jasmine who it looks like, only for Jasmine to say Harry Potter then she walks away. In the next scene, Garrett is in a bad habit breaking support group at school. He introduces himself to everyone in the group and announces he’s a nail biter. He says it’s been 6 minutes since he last bit his nails but after doing it again, he changes it to 3 seconds. Lindy is at the Chicago Museum of Art and introduces herself as the new intern to a lady dressed in a blue suit. The lady introduces herself as Mrs. Trudy Tanzer-Dinkins, the museum director, emphasis on Tanzer. Lindy tells her she is honored to be working for her. Mrs. Tanzer-Dinkins tells her that she has a five strike rule and after Lindy questions why it’s five and not three, she is given one strike for questioning her. Nonetheless, Lindy is very excited to be given her first task which she hopes is something like giving information, giving tours or even helping carry the new Nefertiti exhibit. But Lindy ends up being offended when she is made guard the stairs. She feels that she is much better than just standing and telling people not to use the stairs. Then when the sound of Mrs. Tanzer-Dinkins falling down the stairs is heard, she is given a second strike. The scene transitions to later in the day when Lindy is approached by a lady who asks to use the restrooms. She directs her to restrooms but then after Mrs. Tanzer-Dinkins witnesses it, she tells Lindy she’s only supposed to tell people not to use the stairs and when they need information, they have to go to the Information Booth. Lindy is given a third strike. After Mrs. Tanzer-Dinkins leaves, Logan calls Lindy and asks if she’s busy and Lindy tells him her internship has a ton of responsibilities and she can’t waste her time talking to him. Logan tells her she better turn around because someone is about to use the stairs and Lindy turns around to see Logan right behind her with one foot on the stairs. Lindy is annoyed to see him and Logan still thinks the internship must suck. Logan tells Lindy that the reason why he’s there is that he wanted to make money off the Nefertiti exhibit so he made a bunch of “N4TT” t-shirts and is selling them outside the museum. The t-shirts are actually selling very well. Logan is then approached by Mrs. Tanzer-Dinkins and she asks him to come with her. Lindy is hoping he’s going to get in trouble so she pretends not to know him. Then suddenly the sound of someone falling down the stairs is heard and Lindy is given the fourth strike, one more and she’s out. To be continued soon. |
